PostSubject: Chapter 4: Out of the Frying Pan, Into the Fire   Wed Jan 27, 2016 9:56 pm

The galaxy has been turned around on its head.

Republic technology has come to rival - perhaps surpass - the potential of the Force. And in its own newfound power, the Republic has traded liberty for security and ruled the Jedi unworthy of their age-old mantle as guardians of the peace. Feeling threatened by what they cannot control, the Republic has declared all Force users fugitives and sacked the Jedi Temple on Ossus. Many Jedi died that day, and many more were captured and subjected to horrific and grotesque torture and experimentation...

The Jedi survivors remain on the run. Pursued by the Republic and hunted by Bounty Hunters, they have gone into hiding on Tatooine and begun launching operations to rescue their captive, Jedi brethren. In their last mission, they encountered and subsequently captured a wounded Sith Lord. It has been three years since the appearance of the Sith in the galaxy, and the Jedi now interrogate their new prisoner to understand this mysterious development.

Unbeknownst to the Jedi, Republic intelligence operatives have tracked the Jedi back to their enclave. A fleet of Republic starships now race to Tatooine to destroy the Jedi once and for all...

...Meanwhile, a resurgent, ancient Empire comes with an entire armada to reclaim its Lord that the Jedi hold prisoner...

It's about to be an epic throw down, show down extravaganza extraordinaire on Tatooine. Two galactic super-powers are set to collide in an ultimate twist of both irony and fate. Who will win? Stay tuned to find out!

This event is open to all characters of all factions. Both Jedi and Sith alike will feature prevalently. This is a major and pivotal event set to move along the overall narrative of the current story-arch as well as lay out the transition of the dream to Dromund Kaas. The event is expected to last 2 to 3 hours. DM will control pacing by posting every 15 minutes on the dot. Players will have that 15 minutes within which to post, in no particular order. The plan is to be able to wrap this event up before anyone has to clock out for the night.

"When a Jedi behaves badly in public, an observer might think, 'If this Jedi is a representative of the whole Order, then plainly no Jedi is worth respect.' On meeting a second Jedi, who behaves better than the first, that same person might think, 'Does this say that half the Jedi are good, and half bad?' On meeting a third Jedi, who behaves as well as the second, the person thinks, 'Was the first Jedi an exception, then?' In this way, only by the good behavior of several Jedi can the public be certain that the poor behavior of one Jedi was unusual. Thus, it takes many Jedi to undo the mistakes of one."

Name: Eron Wehr
Rank: Jedi Knight
Occupation/Class: Sentinel
Specialty: Tactician, diplomatic, close-combat
Useful Skills: A smooth-enough talker and a fast-enough thinker; favors force persuasion and (light-aligned) deceptive techniques. Scary at Vaapad. Ridiculously opportunistic. Drives a mean speeder bike.

Takes getting blown up in stride, all things considered. Just don't tell Eleza or Janara.
